Dragon
A march can go out with the Dragon on it. It does not fight as a stack of its own: it makes the army that carries it better, and pays more for the same fight.

What it adds
Troops marching with the Dragon get more strength and health, and the Hero and Captains on that march get more Leadership, Authority and Dominance.
The fight also pays more: extra Experience, Valor Points and Conquest Points on top of what it would have paid without it.
Where it can go
The Dragon rides with any battle march. Three kinds of march can always take it, and take it for free:
- Epic monster squads
- Enemy cities
- Reinforcements to allied cities, the Clan Capital and forts
Beyond those it goes to citadels, and out against heroic, common and rare monster squads that match your progress.
Those monster marches are the only ones that cost Dragon Energy, and the Energy comes back every day. So they are the part of the Dragon that is worth planning, and everything else is free.
How it grows
Two ladders, and they are not the same ladder: level makes the Dragon better at what it already does, evolution turns it into something else.
| Ladder | Spent on it | Where that comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Level | Dragon Treats | Epic monster squads |
| Evolution | Dragon Orbs | Tournament rewards |
The two ladders are locked together: level stops at a cap, and the only way past the cap is to evolve. Level ends at 300 and evolution at 8 — the eighth raises no cap, it is the end of the road.
What an evolution costs
What each evolution costs in Dragon Orbs, and the level it is holding you at. The cap is the one you reach at the evolution you are leaving, which is exactly why you leave it.
| Evolution | Level cap | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 → 2 | 20 | 3,000 |
| 2 → 3 | 50 | 7,500 |
| 3 → 4 | 100 | 22,000 |
| 4 → 5 | 150 | 52,000 |
| 5 → 6 | 200 | 75,000 |
| 6 → 7 | 250 | 220,000 |
| 7 → 8 | 300 | 600,000 |
