Elven Citadel

What it pays

A Dragon Key is what opens a rare crypt, which is where the gems come from.

The rare crypts they open →The gems inside them →

What levels it comes in

The same five steps as the rare crypts they open, level for level.

Attacking it

What is behind an Elven citadel’s walls, and what people take to it. What to bring and in what order comes from a clan’s own chat, so that half is one set of players’ practice and not a rule.

A citadel is not fought by bringing the classes that counter those ten. It is fought by arranging strengths, because what each of your stacks attacks follows from how strong it is and how much health its target has.

Behind the walls

The ten that garrison an Elven citadel. Health is three times strength in every one of them, walls included.

What is inside

What is actually inside each one. The walls come first because a march without catapults does not get past them.

The number to watch in that table is the Centaurs’ health: it is what the rest of your group has to stay under. Anything stronger than that will pick a different target, and the Centaurs will fall on your siege engines instead.

What to take

What gets taken to each level.

CitadelCatapultsTierTroops
10~100IIRanged only, plus Flying if you have them
15~320IIIMounted only, plus Flying if you have them
20~800IVMelee only, plus Flying if you have them
25~3.2kVMelee only, plus Flying
30~1.05kVIIFlying only

Catapult numbers are orientative: they depend on your strength bonuses and on some other features.

The rest of it

The walls, that no reinforcement can reach you inside, the Clan Chest on top: all of that is the same whichever of the two you are marching on.
