Hall of Fame
Every Captain in the game belongs to one of three factions. Each faction has a level of its own, and every level it gains pays a permanent bonus to your army — so which Captain you choose to level is also a choice about which bonus you are buying.
What it asksA faction level asks for Captain levels, and it asks by rarity rather than by name: one legendary or mythic Captain, and two counting that one, the second of which may also be epic. That is why two Captains per faction are enough to keep climbing, and why a rare Captain never unlocks anything.
What it costsMeeting that requirement only lets you buy the level — you still have to pay for it, in the faction’s own points. Those come from raising the stars of its Captains, not their levels, so a faction needs both: the levels to open the step and the stars to afford it.

The Hall itself

Above the three sits the Hall of Fame itself, and it has a level of its own. It does not come from a fourth set of Captains: it opens when the three factions have climbed far enough between them.

Its bonus is not strength or health but what a fight pays.
